A desktop export tool is now available for both the Windows
and Macintosh platforms. Using the export
tool you can view and print your journal entries from your desktop
machine. The export tool uses the DayNotez database file produced
by HotSync Manager's backup conduit (or a 3rd party backup conduit
such as BackupBuddy).

This tool allows you to export your DayNotez entries to either
a comma separated file or to an HTML formatted page for viewing
in a browser.
Simple Instructions:
- Download the zip file, extract the .exe, and run.
- Browse to your palm backup directory and select
the DayNotezDB.pdb file
- Enter the name and path of the file to export
to.
- Give an extension of .CSV to export to a comma
delimited file for viewing in programs such as Excel
- Give an extension of .htm to export to a web
browser viewable file format
- Select a start and end date to limit the range
of your export
- Select "view after export" to have windows automatically
try to view the resulting output file
- Select "Export Entries from PDB" to start the
export process
When exporting to HTML, embedded TealNotes graphics will be converted
to Windows bitmap files. Unfortunately, the bitmap files can only
be viewed under certain browsers (i.e. IE). We will talk with TealPoint
Software about providing other file formats (JPG or GIF) that would
work with all browsers. This capability requires that the TealNotes
database PDB be located in the same directory as the DayNotez PDB.
This is normally the case for the HotSync Manager backup directory.

DayNotez Exporter for Mac v2.0
This tool allows Mac users to export DayNotez entries
to either a comma separated file, HTML, or Text formatted page for
viewing in a browser. It also allows directly viewing individual entries. Sorting and grouping prior to exporting make it easy to export just what you want.
This tool is a Mac "Carbon" application, and as such requires Mac OS X or 9 with the Carbon libraries
Note: When exporting to HTML, embedded TealNotes graphics
will not be converted.
