ActiveSync > Configuration
From your PC, you can configure DayNotez™ ActiveSync settings to define which database to synchronize with and which categories are to be synchronized. These settings are per device.

| • | DayNotez™ Database - Displays the location and name of the DayNotez™ database. Normally there is no reason to change this. If you have multiple Pocket PCs synchronizing DayNotez™ data, you will have the option to choose the database for this device. DayNotez™ allows you to share the same desktop database with multiple devices. When choosing the database, you are presented with a list of existing ActiveSync devices to pick from. After picking a different database, the next synchronization will prompt you to combine or discard the handheld DayNotez™ data. Pick combine to combine both the DayNotez™ handheld and desktop information (without any duplicates items being created) or discard to remove the DayNotez™ handheld data and synchronize the desktop information to the handheld. |

| • | Synchronize all notes regardless of date - All notes except those marked as archived will be synchronized to the handheld. |
| • | Synchronize only the... - Specify a past and future date horizon to be synchronized to your handheld. |
| • | Synchronize only those notes in the following selected categories - Deselect any categories that you do not wish to be synchronized to your Pocket PC. |
Warning: Normally, once ActiveSync determines that a note should no longer be synchronized to the Pocket PC, that note will be removed from the handheld. If your Pocket PC and the DayNotez™ data is being synchronized to two PCs, the deletion of notes is no longer performed. This is a limitation of ActiveSync and can be seen with other data types such as calendar events. This behavior ensures the data is replicated to both PCs but the downside is the data will not be removed from the Pocket PC.
