How Do I.... > Create Notes Without Storage Card If you configured DayNotez™ to store your notes to a storage card, you can still create notes and use DayNotez™ when your storage card is lost or missing. Perhaps you're on a business trip and left the card at the office or home.
When you start DayNotez™, it will detect that the database is not present and you will be prompted whether a new database should be created. Answer OK and a new database will be created (in main memory if no storage card is present). You may enter new notes.
Once you are able to synchronize DayNotez™, ActiveSync will prompt you to either combine or discard your handheld data. Pick combine so your new notes will sync to the desktop and your previous data will sync to your handheld. Once your desktop is synchronized, you may then reconfigure DayNotez™ returning to its previous configuration. (For help with this process, see Options) For example, if you left your storage card behind and you created a new database in main memory, you can now insert the storage card and reconfigure DayNotez™ to store the database on your storage card. When prompted if the database on the storage card should be overwritten, answer yes. If it's a new storage card, follow the same process except there will be no previous data to overwrite.
If you believe you have unsynchronized notes in two databases (i.e. your storage card had unsynchronized notes when you followed the procedure above), you will need to synchronize as described above and then use the Restore my database procedure to restore the second database (i.e. copy the database from the storage card into main memory where DayNotez™ is currently configured to access the database from) and synchronize again.
