DayNotez for Pocket PC User Interface > Filtering > User-Defined Filters
User-defined filters are those you create under Menu/Filters/Manage.
Filter Menu

To create a filter
| 2. | Name the filter and tap Add. |
| 3. | Fill in the desired fields; you may use any combination of these filters. |
| Match Text: | Type in a string of text you would like to include. For example "Performance review" would return all notes containing those words. This field is not case-sensitive nor is it a word search. If you type in "ing" it will find notes containing words that begin, contain or end with "ing" (ie. Ingrid, Wellington, starting). You may also use special characters to help you find your text. The underscore symbol will match any character in your string (beg_n with find begin, began, begun, etc.) and the percent sign (%) will match zero or more characters (Sam% Murray will find Sam Murray, Samuel Murray, Samuel E Murray, etc.). |
| Keyword: | If you associated a keyword with your note this field will find it and return all notes containing that keyword. The diamond button will pop-up a list of previously used keywords. |
| Contact: | If you associated a contact with your note this field will find it and return all notes containing that name. The diamond button will pop-up a list of contact names from your address book. |
| Follow-up: | When turned on it will return notes marked with the follow-up flag. |
| Private: | When turned on it will return notes marked as private. |
| Clear: | Clears all entries. |
| Cancel: | Cancels the filter and returns you to the main screen. |
| 4. | Tap on OK in the upper right corner when you are finished. |
To use a user-defined filter
| 2. | Tap the name of the filter. DayNotez™ for Pocket PC will return a list of notes matching the filter settings. |
To turn the filter off, tap on the X icon at the bottom of the screen.
