DayNotez User Interface > Dialogs > Archive

After using DayNotez for several months, you may reach a point where old notes are consuming too much memory on your Palm device.  The Archive command is used to remove old notes, and optionally keep archive copies on your desktop.

If you choose to archive a copy on the desktop, the notes will remain on your Palm device (but hidden) until the next synchronization with a DayNotez Desktop application.

If you select the Storage Card option, a copy of the notes will also be saved in a DayNotez file on your storage card (Compact Flash, Secure Digital, Memory Stick).  You can later view the archived entries by select the "Archived on Card" command from the menus.

NOTE:        The default archive threshold is 60 days

NOTE:        The archive option is not available on the Palm Only version.  If you have upgraded from the Palm version to DayNotez Desktop, be sure to enter your DayNotez Desktop registration code (starts with 058-) into the handheld application under the menu item Options Register.  Once you have done this, the archive option will be available.
