DayNotez User Interface > The Main Views > Edit > Edit View Menu
The commands available on the menu for the Edit view are as follows.
Entry Menu
| • | Details - Displays the Details dialog for the displayed entry. |
| • | Voice Memo - Displays the Audio tab of the Details dialog for the displayed entry. |
| • | Photos - Displays the Photos tab of the Details dialog for the displayed entry. |
| • | Copy Link to Entry - Copies the id of the displayed entry to the DayNotez link clipboard. |
| • | New - Start a new entry using the default template. |
| • | New from Template - Start a new entry by selecting a template for the list displayed. |
| • | Delete - Delete the selected entry. The confirmation dialog provides archive options. |
| • | Discard Changes - Discard any changes made to the entry text since it was displayed. This will not affect changes made before the details dialog is displayed. |
| • | Export - Export the displayed entry. |
| • | Create To Do - Create a To Do in the Tasks application using the the currently selected text (or entire entry text if nothing selected). |
| • | Save As Template - Save this entry as a new Template. |
| • | Beam - Beams the selected entry to another handheld. |
Edit Menu
| • | Undo - Undo the last edit command. This operation is performed by the handheld's edit field. |
| • | Cut - Cut the selected text from the entry. |
| • | Copy - Copy the selected text to the handheld's clipboard. It can be pasted into DayNotez or another application. |
| • | Paste- Paste text into the entry from the handheld's clipboard. The text may come from DayNotez or another application. |
| • | Select All - Select all the text for the entry. |
| • | Insert Link - Inserts a link to another DayNotez entry. The link id is taken from the DayNotez link clipboard. The Copy Link to Entry menu command is used to place the link id on the clipboard. |
| • | Numbered List - Start a new numbered list. Selected text will be used as the items in the list. |
| • | Bullet List - Start a new bullet list. Selected text will be used as the items in the list. |
| • | Insert Date - The date picker is displayed and the selected date is inserted into the entry text at the current cursor. |
| • | Add as Tag - Add the selected text as a tag for the displayed entry. The tag will be added to the list of DayNotez tags if it is not in the list. |
View Menu
| • | Go To Top - Jump to the top of the entry text. |
| • | Go To Bottom - Jump to to bottom of the entry text. |
Options Menu
| • | Settings - Configure DayNotez application settings. |
| • | Tags - Display the list of tags. |
| • | Filters - Display the list of filters. |
| • | Phone Lookup - Inserts a name and number from the Contact application into the entry. |
| • | Tell a Friend - Beam the DayNotez trial version, or send a message giving trial download instructions. |
| • | Check for Updates - Use your mobile browser to check to see if there is an updated version of DayNotez available for download. |
