List

DayNotez User Interface > Dialogs > Preferences > List

This tab has display preferences for the List view.

Show newest entries first

       Newer entries are shown at the top of the list when this option is checked.

Use note category color

       When this option is checked the color assigned to a note's category is used for the background.

Display attribute icons

       When this option is checked icons are displayed to indicate that an entry is Private, has a Voice Memo, or has Photos.

Show minutes

       When this option is checked both the hours and minutes are displayed for each entry (if Time is selected for the left column).

Left Column

       Controls what information is shown on the left side of the screen for each entry. Options include the following.

       None - Do not display information in a left column

       Time - Show the entry time.

       Category - Show the category name.

       Contact - Show the contact name

       Tags - Display the tags for the entry.

       Category Icon - Display the category icon. Configure on the Icon tab of Preferences dialog.

       Tag Icons - Display the icons for all tags.

       Tag/Category Icons - Display the icons for tags, if none then display the category icon.

       Tag+Category Icons - Display both tag and category icons.

       Duration - Display the entry duration.

Select action

       Controls what will be done when selecting an entry on the list. Options include the following.

       Journal Page - Displays the Journal Page for the date that includes the entry.

       Edit text - Displays the edit view to allow modification of the entry.

       Details - Displays the Details dialog for the selected entry.

       Edit tags - Displays the Tags tab of the Details dialog for the entry.

       Voice memo - Displays the Audio tab of the Details dialog for the selected entry.

       Photos - Displays the Photos tab of the Details dialog for the selected entry.

       Do nothing - No action is performed when the entry is selected.

Header Color

       Configure the color used for the background of the header lines for each date.

Font

       Configure the font used for the list.
