This beta is open to all Natara customers. Please post your beta feedback to the DayNotez Beta section of the Natara User Forums.

Important Information, Please Review Carefully:

DayNotez 3 requires Palm OS 5 and is optimized for Treo smartphones.
DayNotez 3 will be a paid upgrade. See upgrade notes below.
There is no update to the Windows desktop application available at this time. See notes below.
Installing the DayNotez 3 beta will convert the installation to the 30 day trial mode until a DayNotez 3 registration code is entered.
DayNotez 3 converts the database to a new version that cannot be read with older versions. Make backup copies of your original databases in the event you wish to drop back to an earlier DayNotez version.
The documentation has not yet been updated.
Although in-house testing has shown the beta to be stable, it still could have problems that result in data loss. Please keep good backups.

Updated look with full 5-way navigation.
Support for Photos.
The single keyword per entry is replaced with multiple Tags per entry.
Icons supported for categories and tags.
Duration field for time tracking
Limited formatting of entry text; bold, underline, color, bullet and numbered lists.
URL's and links to other entries.
Statistics and pie chart of category, tag, durations and counts.
New export options.
More template options.
Flexible filtering.

Special Notes for DayNotez Desktop Customers:

There is no update to the desktop application at this time.
An updated conduit is provided that synchronizes the DayNotez 3 handheld database and allows continued use of DayNotez Desktop version 1.6.4.
You may want to avoid the following;

Text formatting on the handheld (bold, underline, color, bullet lists, and DayNotez links) are not recognized on the desktop. The raw formatting codes will be displayed.
Do not assign multiple tags to entries if you Group By Keyword on the desktop Custom tab. Multiple tags will be displayed in the keyword field separated by the character '|'.

Photos captured by the DayNotez application can be viewed on the desktop using the Palm Desktop 'Media Desktop' applet under the DayNotez album.

Upgrade notes:

DayNotez 3 will be a paid upgrade and a new registration code will be required.
Trial registration codes will be available during the beta period.
The retail price for DayNotez and DayNotez Desktop Edition will be $19.95 and $34.95 respectively.
The upgrade cost to DayNotez 3 for Palm OS from DayNotez for Palm OS be $9.00.
As a special offer, Desktop Edition customers who purchase an upgrade at the handheld price ($9.00) will receive the desktop upgrade for free.
Customers who purchased DayNotez for Palm OS or DayNotez for Palm OS Desktop Edition after January 1st, 2007 (excluding upgrades) will receive a free upgrade.

Customers who use Comet with the option to create notes in DayNotez should install the current version (2.2.1) from here.

Follow the beta updates in the Natara User Forums as new builds are posted. The build number is visible in the About dialog of the handheld application. There is also a Check For Updates command on the Help menu of the Palm OS application.
